A large port; the people generally looked suppressed...as I guess they have been. Walked the narrow streets looking for 'old market' but just shop after shop of same, same of modern merchandise. Walked to the bridge going over gully of older homes which was picturesque. We were amazed at the number of satellite dishes on the homes. Yes, the tv has changed everything!

ReplyDeleteWow! Very interesting pictures Mom! You have a really good idea for photography. Those pictures of the satellites on the buildings are very interesting. I can just about imagine. In all that poverty people are still spending their money of TV. Wow! I remember all those little tiny shacks up in the middle of nowhere in Thailand and the Phillines - one room homes on stilts - with a TV. Yes - how the TV has changed the world. It is the new religion - the new god.
