Our first night of dining

Sharing with you a few more photos of life on our ship. Also the formal nights where we dressed up. We really enjoyed that! Every evening we had dinner in a formal dining room with excellent service. There was always a choice from about 5 appetizers, same with salads/soups, then entres as well, followed by desserts/tea/coffee. Very elegant dinner settings with heavy silver pieces/cutlery. We were always seated with at least one other couple and it varied night after night. We had some very amazing and unusual conversations and met some very interesting people. Some people were on their 31st cruise. The usual was over 10 cruises! Then we usually went to a 'show'...the best were a very good violinist, a pianist, dance performances, performance by the Indonesian crew which was amazing and funny, a femal saxophonist, a femal flute player. Then we would go to hear the Rosario Strings...acoustic violin, grand piano and bass played with a bow. We loved them! Then we would go to the Ocean Breeze, a 4 man band, and dance...under a starry ceiling, sometimes the only ones on the dance floor. We always had an interesting and fun evening!

  3. Those pictures of the two of you all dressed up are just fantastic! Both of you look wonderful! Wow Dove, you look really great in a suit and tie. It is very sophisicated. I really enjoyed looking at these pictures as it really helps me visualize the life you two had on the ship. They are very practical everyday pictures and this is great!
