Another favourite spot looking into the garden beyond. We had 2 of Dov's nephews, Matthew & Simon & his fiance, Simone visit us one weekend...playing pool, ping pong, and catching up...
Aren't we so lucky!? Alison gave us the keys to her Saab convertible 'Sabby'. I spent a lot of time outside in the green chair to the right, listening to doves, writing, appreciating...
Harpenden, l hr. north of London. Anthony & Alison, (Dov's niece) very generously let us stay at their home for over 2 wks. in the country while they and their 2 teenage children went to Panama.'Fallen Firs', once part of a much larger estate. A old brick wall divides the garden into 2 parts--the far part is home to a butterfly tree. This year is one of the largest migration of butterflies from north Africa to England. (SEE ARTICLE 'Footsteps In The Garden' to enjoy close ups of the butterflies on this tree. I was seeing a brand new world through my macro lens...moved to tears)

You two were certainly very lucky to have the opportunity to stay in that beautiful home and drive a convertible (almost like Goldie but not quite.) It sounds like it was a time to wind down and take it all in. It also looks like you two had a great time visiting family.
ReplyDeleteAs I look back this truly was an incredible time and opportunity. Time to get into setting up this blog, doing a lot of photography of the butterflies in the garden. Many thanks to Alison and Anthony!
